Thanks to everyone who came out to our first Psychofest Halloween contest. Great surf, unseasonably perfect weather, and some insane costumes. Couldn’t have been better!
We are STOKED to announce the first (of hopefully many) halloween costume surf sessions happening here in Narragansett!
This is not your typical surf contest. The idea is simple:
Show up and surf in your halloween costume! All ages and abilities welcome. We will have foam top surfboards available for those that don't have a board and want to join in. Boards available on a first come first serve basis. (We will not be giving out wetsuits).
Registration starts at Noon
Surfing starts shortly after
Two age divisions: Adults (over 16) and Groms (under 16)
First prize adult: O'Neill Psychotech 5/4 wetsuit
Second prize adult: $200 GC to Warm Winds
First prize grom: Carver Skateboard
Second prize grom: O'Neill Reactor 3/2 wetsuit
...Lost Clothing prizes will be awarded as well.
Judges will be looking for rad costumes that don't completely fall apart in the water. Staying in character while surfing could land you some bonus points! This contest is all about having fun. Must catch a wave to be considered.
